David Byrne and St. Vincent – Bringing Down The House
David Byrne & St. Vincent
Bringing Down The House
In support of their Love This Giant release, David Byrne and Annie Clark of St. Vincent hit the stage last night at the Beacon Theater in New York City and a more enjoyable performance one could not desire.
Opening up with lead-off single “Who” and closing with a cover of the Talking Heads’ “Road to Nowhere,” the entire set featured songs from Love This Giant, as well as selections from both St. Vincent and Talking Heads. Reflecting the hip personality of their remarkable collaboration, this was a feel good performance that was beautifully choreographed and historically balanced. Once you thought Annie Clark may have been carrying the show, David Byrne stepped in to remind you why he is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
David and Annie’s supporting band was fabulous and there was much love and adoration throughout the night. The show was flawless. Fans actually rushed to the front of the stage during “Burning Down the House.” The band allowed fans to take pictures and videotape, so we have some of both for your pleasure. We highly recommend their extraordinary Love This Giant release and this supporting tour. It is a must see event. Enjoy!
